About the foundation

The Lower Saxony Memorials Foundation maintains and organises the Bergen-Belsen Memorial and the Wolfenbüttel Correctional Facility (JVA). It also promotes and supports memorial sites and initiatives in Lower Saxony. The Lower Saxony Memorials Foundation is thus committed to the memory of the victims of National Socialism and to critical reflection on the present.
