The Master Plan for the Redesign of the Bergen-Belsen Memorial (2010/2011)
By the end of 2011, the Memorial had realised more key elements of the redesign plans for the grounds of the former Bergen-Belsen camp. The first steps towards the new design of the grounds were taken in 2007, parallel to the construction of the new Documentation Centre. The aim was to make the layout of the former camp recognisable again through landscaping measures and by putting up panels providing historical and topographical information at particular sites within the grounds.
