with Esther Schapira and Georg M. Hafner
Since Hamas’s barbaric attack on Israel and the Middle East war that has been raging for months, it has become particularly striking just how much the media have become a party to the conflict in this war of images and headlines. What casualty figures are being reported? Which sources are deemed credible, and to what extent? Which information has been independently researched, and where are our media so willingly falling into Hamas’s propaganda trap? Journalists Esther Schapira and Georg M. Hafner describe the media’s heavy responsibility, particularly in this war.
