Likes for education - opportunities and challenges for educational programmes on social media

Today, social media has a decisive influence on how we perceive, discuss and disseminate information. The communication of historical and political topics is also increasingly taking place in the digital space. But how can younger people in particular be inspired by history on platforms such as Instagram or TikTok? And what opportunities and challenges are associated with this?

We would like to discuss these and other questions with Kiril Denisov(Anne Frank Educational Centre) and Stève Hiobi(@deinbrudersteve). In addition to reports from their work on social media, we will discuss with our guests how political education can succeed in the digital space and beyond and what it takes to tell stories in the face of fake news, AI and filter bubbles, to contribute one's own perspective and to engage in dialogue with others.

All interested parties are invited - no prior knowledge is required.
We look forward to an exciting evening and a lively discussion!

The event is organised by the Lower Saxony Memorials Foundation in cooperation with Dysentery University Bochum.
