1989 – 1995: Studied political science in Munich (Ludwig-Maximilian-Universität), Berlin (Freie Universität) and Santiago de Chile (Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales)

 

2007 – 2012: Dissertation on “Young Arab-Palestinian and Turkish Berliners and their relationship with National Socialism and the Shoah: A study of the pedagogy of appreciation”

 

1995 – 2015: Member of the academic-pedagogic staff of the House of the Wannsee Conference Memorial and Educational Site

 

2015 – 2020: Deputy director and head of the educational department of the House of the Wannsee Conference Memorial and Educational Site

 

2015-2017: Member of second Independent Panel on Antisemitism established on the basis of a Bundestag resolution

 

2008 – 2012: Member of the first Independent Panel on Antisemitism established on the basis of a Bundestag resolution

 

Since 2018: Expert for the German Foreign Office on the issue of designing a memorial covering the history of the Colonia Dignidad in the Villa Baviera, Chile (with Dr Jens-Christian Wagner)
